VH1's 'Least Metal Moments' Airing In November
October 15, 2004According to a posting at www.striglsmusicnews.com, VH1 is producing a silly follow-up to their "100 Most Metal Moments" show. "Least Metal Moments" currently has a tentative air date of November 13. The show will once again feature on-air interviews with VH1's "metal experts" — John Ostronomy, Eric Bohnenstiel and Mark Strigl.
"As many of you know, I consulted and appeared on-air in the first show," said Mark Strigl in a posting on his web site. "I even produced and wrote five of the '100 Most Metal Moments' segments. In 'Least Metal Moments' I was not involved in the production at all. All I did was an interview for them. I guess the show is about moments that are not very metal such as Celine Dion covering AC/DC or Pat Boone putting out an album of metal covers. I thought that their list was missing some REAL 'Least Metal Moments'. I was trying to convince VH1 to add in few things, Ya' know, things like Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons putting Ace Frehley and Peter Criss' make-up on two impostors, OR Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne erasing Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake's classic bass and drum parts off of two of the greatest records ever made. VH1 has a 40 'Least Metal Moments' and Ozzy re-recording 'Blizzard' and 'Diary' isn't on the list?? It would be the number one least metal moment if I came up with the list. I love Ozzy so much — he is a true talent. I respect his wife too. I just don't agree with the re-recording of the drum and bass parts on these two classic albums.
"BUT anyway, this show will be a blast with tons of funny stuff so be sure to watch every minute of it — Saturday, November 13th on VH1. VH1 has discovered that whenever they put shows like this on-air they get a huge rating, and that is a good thing."
